We advocate an early return-to-work philosophy that empowers them to continue working within carefully defined physical limitations. A modified duty in the work environment facilitates convalescence and reintegration into the workplace. The quicker the injured worker is returned to the workplace the better recovery outcomes.

In addition, ExpressMD Urgent Care works with a diverse array of safety-sensitive industries. We understand the specific needs of these employers to provide high quality medical evaluation and care while avoiding unnecessary prescriptions or interventions. In this way the employee receives the care that he/she needs and the employer minimizes unnecessary documentation.
- Patient presents treatment authorization form, fills out registration paperwork then is ready to be evaluated and treated by the clinical staff.
- We contact the Workers Comp adjuster to obtain authorization number and information for where to send forms, etc.
- Ultimately, this is a decision that is made by the employer who sends the employee in for evaluation with a treatment authorization form.

- Once evaluated by medical provider, he/she will either recommend the Safety Officer transport employee to the ER or an ambulance will be called.
- The use of appropriate over the counter meds such as ibuprofen, tylenol, lidocaine patches as well as cold or hot compresses. These are the foundations of treating acute musculoskeletal sprains/strains.
